Welcome to The Everyday Vogue!

I couldn’t be more excited to welcome you to The Everyday Vogue blog! My name is Persephone Maglaya and I’m a twin mom, fitness feen, health fanatic, who geeks out over skincare, social media and high/low fashion. So what can you expect to see? I’ll be sharing a look inside my family, the day-to-day with the twins, go-to recipes, health and wellness, but most of all realness.  I’ll be sharing a raw look at how my husband Eddie and I are raising our twin boys, Laurent & Roman. All while juggling being a Wife, Mama, full-time hustler, friend, etc.

Here’s a truth bomb for you.

When I was told we were having twins, I was breathing into a bag certain that there was a some kind of mistake and that life was officially over. Only compounding my own insecurities were the smiles and simultaneous cringes we received when we told others and they’d reply ‘omg… twins?’ Early in my pregnancy, Eddie and I decided that we would be different. We would utilize resources, research and learn from others’ experiences to shift our outlook in hopes that the outcome wouldn’t be that we’d be miserable, broke and overwhelmingly exhausted. I also will not lie to you. It’s not always cute. So I’m here to share the good, the less-than perfect and a whole lot of cuteness from all three of my men. Deal?

It’s important for you to know what this won’t be. This is not about how to achieve balance. Because truthfully, I don’t know if that is actually possible. However, I do believe in coordinated, strategic juggling. Furthermore, I’m not here to tell you what you are doing wrong. I’d rather be real about what has worked for Eddie and I to keep our collective selves happy and *mostly* sane. It’s my hope that our experiences and no-fucks given attitude that has made raising our boys really fun will give you a few helpful nuggets to apply in your own life too.
