BIG NEWS about Eddie

We’ve been hiding a secret from you for about 2 + years now. Eddie has been the COO aka Chief Operating Officer of The Media Socialites for over 2 years, while balancing his day job, being a killer Dad and husband of course. On his birthday – January 4 – he decided it was time to move to a full time state of mind. This is huge for us. We are married – le duh-, work alongside, parent alongside – the deepest level of love and commitment there ever truly is. For us and for me, I’ve spent the past two years+ building for this moment with Eddie. I’ve spent years watching my person holding himself back from his purpose and to see him now operating at his best, his maximum potential is one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had.

So I asked Eddie to give his perspective, because if you’ve been following along for awhile, I too balanced the side hustle before we arrived here. With no further ado, my partner in crime, my soulmate Eddie:

As many of you have read in 2019, Persephone turned her side hustle into her full time business. What everyone probably assumed is that I was just the cheerleader, Chief Hyper, but with no real day-to-day involvement. If that was your assumption.. you were incorrect. *Deep breath in* here’s the reality:

Here’s the history:

I’ve spent most of my career in the Marketing Technology space and sold software that orchestrated anything from emails to content to display advertising. By nature, I always loved the technical side of marketing or as P says ‘the nerdy, ugly sides of the business’ lol. I love the software as well as the tactical execution so as P was expanding that became part of my role within the business.

When we first started The Media Socialites, Persephone took on clients and just being honest, I didn’t want to be left behind – I wanted to understand, so she taught me. I sourced out my own clients – largely in the hospitality space – that until Covid were amazing and loyal customers.

I love social media, the psychology of marketing and the data behind it. We decided together that P would take the full-time leap first and take the reigns from the creative side of things – content writing, producing – while I found myself naturally attracted to the technical side. We are the ying and yang as I am the executor and she is the strategist – it works harmoniously for us. The more we grew, the more I found myself obsessing and growing and learning too. I wanted out.

Living a double life:

I always put 150% into everything I do which is why trying to balance 2 full-time, demanding jobs was one of the most stressful things that I’ve ever done in my life. When Persephone decided to leave to take this business to the next level, she DELIVERED. We took on more and more clients as the months rolled on, some of which involved areas that I focused on like advertising on Facebook, Instagram and Google and creating content.

My professional life became very intertwined. I’d work my Sales gig for most of the day until just like her, it all started to bleed together. For months, my days would be a juggle of both jobs, I’d end my day job, watch the kids for a few hours and then once they went to bed, I would do what I needed to do for the business until 1am.

Where I am today

I’m extremely grateful for my last role, for every job I’ve ever had as it’s prepared. They carried me through uncertain times {with Covid} and taught me a TON that is so applicable with a number of different hats that I wear today. I’m even more grateful to my wife for continuously supporting me, building up this business to where it is today and giving me the opportunity to work full-time for an organization that I absolutely am in love with with the person I’m in love with. More on our journey coming! – E

BRB SOBBING. I’m so proud of him. His trust, his abilities. He’s everything. I feel the most secure I have ever felt in my life.

Thank you for all your love and support and let us know what questions you have!
