Going a little lighter this week and talking all things fall fashion, because there’s finally a little chill in the air. I’m sharing a few tips and must-haves for dressing you and your whole family that are so easy and won’t break the bank. My biggest tip for you: create your families’ uniform. What the hell does that mean?  For myself and my whole family, you’ll find us in this color palette: white/cream, black, gray, olive green with a an occasional pop of one or two prints {for us its camoflage and plaid} into our mix.

This doesn’t mean your wardrobe will be boring.

This means that you will be creating a specific look that is consistent and your clothes will generally all go together making it way easier to look put together. Mix textures in to keep it interesting. Promise this will always look so polished and chic.

Ladies:

Let’s get specific. For fall you need to invest in four main pieces: 1) Bodysuit {Hear me out before you ignore me} 2) Distressed jeans 3) Statement Jacket 4) Go-to Sneakers. All of which you can shop below btw

  • Bodysuits: I’ve literally changed out 90% of my tees to bodysuits, because they are a million times more flattering and they can go day to evening no problem. And not to worry, most of these suits come with snaps down there so bathroom breaks are a non-issue.
  • Distressed Jeans: I LOVE a pair of distressed jeans because it looks rugged and works when I’m moming aka chasing the boys around. I love this pair of high rise ripped mom jeans that are only $42!
  • Statement Jacket: I don’t like to throw down on trendy pieces aka something I’m not going to wear a lot. This jacket is so soft and comfy; I wore it to the apple orchard and out to dinner {love a versatile, trendy piece} and did I mention it’s under $70.
  • Sneakers: I splurge with things I am going to use over and over again. I seriously debated a new pair of nice ones, but I never pay full price on anything designer #funfact. I L O V E my Golden Goose sneaks and highly recommend them

Kiddos:

This is just my personal opinion, but there is a lot of ugly sh*t out there for little boys particularly. I like to dress my kiddos like a bitesize bad ass. And yes, I do think about would he hate me at 23 or 43 for putting him in that stupid t-shirt? I think about these things so keeping things monochromatic and mixing up textures with denim, interesting patterns and hey hey black vegan leather pants.   I’ve found some really cool companies that have some not-so-basic clothes. Right now Modern Burlap {which is where I got these amazing shirts} is my jam for them.

Your Man:

Truth be told, Eddie has amazing style, specifically his formalwear and suit game is strong to quite strong. His casual style; however, was having a serious identity crisis, which I found to be so odd. Isn’t casual supposed to be easier? Anyways, I digress. Sooooo last winter I literally tossed aka donated 3/4 of his fugly clothes and bought him some really classic pieces that were all monochromatic. Totally transformed his wardrobe and all of it falls in that color scheme. Though he hasn’t said it aloud, I think if you ask him he’d say it’s made a difference in how he carries himself too.

Do you want me to be sharing more fashion tips with you? Let me know in the comments ~ Oh and yes if you are asking yourself if Roman has apple hanging out of his mouth in several pictures, why yes. Yes he does.
