He’s backkkkk ! I love bringing my husband Eddie on here as he gives a unique perspective on how we are able to run our lives and survive with twins, as a couple, as parents – the whole shabang! The truth is without Eddie being 110% in and supportive of the blog and my business {more details on that coming soon} – neither would be possible. Our lives have only become wilder as we’ve embarked on this content creation journey, so he’s here to break it all down and give you the unadulterated deets – here’s my Eddie.

beautiful family

Stand up and be proud of whatever husband, father, partner that you want to be. I’m a certified Instagram husband and I’m damn proud of it *dusting off the shoulders and puts on hater-blockers* – let me tell you why:

Empower Your Woman

When I get to shoot with the wifey [which happens at least once a week – often more], I get to be a part of making her feel beautiful. As a husband, that’s my job isn’t it? I’ll be honest, at first – as most people are – I was super timid about getting in front of a camera, over time and with the encouragement by P, I’m much more invested. Makes me feel good that she feels good, so win-win don’t you think?

Get Into It = Gain Confidence

Regardless of whether a blog is part of your life – or not – it WILL make you feel good. Back in the day, I used to find it annoying to take pics and dismissed it as most guys do. When P started the blog and photoshoots became our new normal, I learned to appreciate the effort it would take to really understand your angles and what looked good vs what didn’t. Sorry for the generalization, but most men abhor photos because we don’t f-ing know how to take them. I was locking my knees and it made me look stumpy and like a had a muffin top – as P says not cute. By turning and changing my stance, bending a little and being open to the feedback and practice, it changed everything. Most importantly, it brought me a new level of confidence.

A New Creative Outlet

A year ago, if you had told me that I would enjoyed art directing P in a photoshoot, I probably would’ve looked at you a little crazy. Logistically to do a 15 minute shoot is an endeavor that I have grown to love. It’s a cool thing we do as a family and with my wife , which is pretty f-ing awesome don’t you think? Whether I’m holding the iPhone, setting up the tripod or standing in the background giving her direction, this new experience has become a creative outlet for me as it has for P.

What a Time to Be Alive

Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Warren Buffet have all been cited recently expressing that, “Now is the best time to be alive.”. Technologically speaking, it absolutely is.  Where are my 80s babies at? Remember those stacks of physical photos or that scrapbook that god knows where? Since the day the twins were born, everyday we upload pictures to a shared folder that is reserved for family and close friends to enjoy and to stay up to date with how the boys are growing and developing.

Along with the interconnectivity of it all, I think about how lucky the boys are that we get to document their lives in a way that had never been possible before. That’s by far the biggest value-add. They will get to enjoy and easily look back at all the amazing memories that their parents worked so hard to create, hustle and curate for them. Isn’t that pretty bad ass?

twin's family

All that to say that I appreciate this platform, the early morning photoshoots, the styled outfits, the scouting the next location and really investing and caring about what the end result will be. Instead of pushing back the next time your wife/girlfriend/SO, hands you the phone and asks you to take a picture, why not lean in? Once you figure out that these pictures actually enrich your life, you’ll be more invested and WANT to enjoy creating the memories.

Reason 35359035 as to why I love this man. You get it. What else do you want to know about Eddie that he can shed light on? Let us know in the comments.

Till Next Time –

P and E xo
